A Peek At My Style: Navy Jersey Blazer from Stephie’s Shop

Hi guys! It’s mid-week, and Beauty in Black launches today at the National Museum of Singapore! I’ll be hitting the exhibition soon. ;)

Here’s another peek at my style. I love blazers! I have them in satin, woven cotton, polyester… single-breasted, military, nautical… they just smarten up any outfit! And you don’t even need to wear anything ultra fancy underneath. A simple top and blazer takes you through client interviews, dinner, and shopping!

I recently purchased a navy jersey blazer from Stephie’s Shop and received it in the mail yesterday. Navy is one of my favourite colours (I love navy striped anything as well!). Coco Chanel revolutionised women’s fashion by introducing jersey, a material which was commonly used for men’s underwear during her time.  Also, Chanel started the women’s blazer trend. I chanced upon this bestseller at Stephie’s and of course I had to get it! The jersey blazers are sold out from time to time. From my understanding, there are three colours to choose from – grey, navy and black. I think black was sold out on the day I made the purchase.

I like that the jersey blazer has a soft structure to it and is so versatile. On casual days, wear it with jeans. For work, wear it with black skinny pants. I know I should have worn a lighter top in the photo below! I have lots of dark-coloured tops (mostly black and navy) and my light-coloured clothes are shirts. I can’t work the white tee, for some reason. Maybe it’s because I haven’t found the perfect one! Btw, I believe this blazer should fit UK sizes 6 to 10. The sleeves are full-length; I rolled them up. :)
