Sponsored Review: Soap & Glory Sit Tight Sit-Activated Special Lower Body Firming Formula

Sponsored Review

Hi everyone! How’s it going? :) My schedule has been extremely packed lately – so many things to do, so little time! This week’s going to be exciting, though.

I’m about to make an announcement.

I declare this week to be…

 SOAP & GLORY WEEK

There are two main reasons for said declaration.

Reason #1 – I’ve decided that I’m only going to write about Soap & Glory products this week.

Reason #2 – It’s the blog’s first birthday this Sunday, 3 July 2011, and I am giving away awesome Soap & Glory prizes! International readers, rejoice! It is going to be an international giveaway. I did some shopping over the weekend at Sephora – you guys are in for a treat!

To kickstart Soap & Glory week on the blog, I’m going to show you a product which has just hit Singapore shores. I’m sure you’ve all seen the parcel which the Soap & Glory folks sent me, all the way from London HQ, which contains the following:

Presenting said mosaicked item – the fabulous SIT TIGHT!

Sponsored Review: Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Butter

Sponsored Review

Woohoo, Friday! Have you any plans to shop this weekend? :) Check out Sephora for a dose (or multiple doses) of Soap & Glory!

Today, we look at The Righteous Butter, which was included in the parcel I received from Soap & Glory London HQ. :) It’s a cute mini 50ml tub (there’s a 300ml version available too)!

Truth be told, I am hardly the body butter fanatic. Meaning, I don’t moisturise the skin on my body diligently. Thanks to the excellent bath products I use, an example of which can be found here, my skin remains well-moisturised even if I skip the body moisturiser. Yes, I have been spoilt rotten by great bath products. It’s high time I start paying more attention to my skin, especially since I’m holed up in an air-conditioned office for at least nine hours a day, five days a week! Will The Righteous Butter change me for the better?

Sponsored Review: Silkygirl Blockbuster Color Palette in Smokey Charm

Sponsored Review

Aaaaand it’s mid week, yet again! :) What has everyone been up to? Actually, I’ve been wondering – what is in your eye makeup staple stash? For me, it’s neutrals, neutrals, neutrals. I prefer to wear neutral colours on my heavily-lined eyes so that I don’t look overdone. A palette such as this would be so great for my collection! That’s the Bella palette from Twilight Beauty, btw, and probably the only one in the collection that appeals to me.

Those of you who prefer to wear a more dramatic look, remembeSilkygirl sent me a bag of products a few months ago (yes, it has been that long!)? So far, I have reviewed eight of the ten items therein, and this week, I’ve picked out the Blockbuster Color Palette in Smokey Charm, leaving only one last item in the bag.

A Peek At My Style: Salvatore Ferragamo Thin Passata Grosgrain Headband with Signature Vara Bow

Ah, the start of yet another brand new week! :) You know I found a way to make Monday blues go away. Instead of thinking, “It’s Monday. Again. SIGH. I don’t want to go to work/school. Why do I have to work/study???”, try thinking, “Woohoo! It’s Monday again! Yeah let’s go to WARRRRR!!!” and conquer everything. Feel better already? Err… No? It works for me. So yeah. If not, check out this article which offers some really useful and sensible advice. ;)

Did any of you manage to catch the lunar eclipse last week? On my way home in the evening, I saw the moon from the station – huge, bright, round and low. However, I don’t have a clear view of the skies from my place, and would have to go back to the station in order to catch the eclipse at 4am. I didn’t think it was a good idea since it was very late (or rather, early), so I ended up not witnessing the darkest night of the century.

Anyways, that night, I bought what I had been waiting for since April! Got a call from the Isetan Scotts store on Tuesday afternoon. :) After I paid for my purchase, I asked if there was any stock left (just in case some of you are keen!) and the sales assistant said they only received two pieces, both of which were reserved (one for me and the other for someone else). Seeing that Ferragamo has a few stores here, chances are the other stores will receive (or have already received) stock so there’s still hope!

A Chunk of My Weekday: Olfactory Journey at Chanel Fragrance and Beauty Boutique, Marina Bay Sands

How many of you are fans of Chanel’s fragrances? :)

Last December, I attended The Art of Baudruchage, an event held at the Chanel Fragrance and Beauty Boutique, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. At that event, I met Ms Jean Loy, Chanel’s Fragrance Specialist, who invited me to go on an olfactory journey in order to find the perfect fragrance for me. I made a mental note to see her on a less crowded weekday, but it wasn’t until last month (almost half a year later!) that I finally called her up to schedule an appointment.

At the boutique, Skye and I were ushered to a cozy corner where three tweed upholstered armchairs and a small glass table await. The glass table is in fact the Olfactory Bar, which contains ceramic blotters infused with Chanel’s fragrances, including the Les Exclusifs range which is only available at the boutique at Marina Bay Sands.

Unfortunately, photography is prohibited at the boutique. However, read on to find out what I bought, and what Chanel gifted me!

Advertorial

It’s mid week! Just two more days to the weekend, so hang in there! :)

For those of you who find yourself dreading work every morning (or screaming “I don’t wanna go to work!” before you fall asleep every night), I would like to highlight this – a recent poll ranked Singapore workers the world’s unhappiest. According to this recent article“we least enjoy going to work, are the least loyal and have the least supportive workplaces”.

Are you nodding your head in agreement?

Do you secretly wish for a better job?

Have you submitted résumé after résumé to no avail?

Well, here’s your chance, because…

The Visumé Wars have begun!

Sponsored Review: Laneige Pore Deep Clearing Foam

Sponsored Review

Woohoo! It’s FINALLY Friday! *air punch* :D

To kickstart the weekend, we’re going to look at something from Laneige today. Yes, you read right! A review sponsored by Laneige. Remember my review on Laneige’s Water Sleeping Pack_EX in April? I’m pleased to announce that the said blog post has come to Laneige’s attention and we are good. :)

So what has Laneige been up to? Well, recently, Laneige launched their Pore Care Range - their secret weapon for crystal clear skin. The essence of the range is made up of (i) their Pore Purifying Complex, and (ii) Ghassoul, a Moroccan clay from the Atlas Mountains. Sound intriguing?
