Advertorial: Flaunt Your Gorgeousness with Amazing Hair

Advertorial

Hi all, how’s it going? :) Thank you for all your well wishes; I feel much better now. Well, better enough to go catch Captain America tomorrow!

Just wondering, how much attention do you pay to your hair?  While I don’t like to fuss over it, I wash and condition my hair daily and top that up with a weekly treatment.  Most days, I put on a pretty headband to keep hair off my face.  I’ve noticed, though, that many people can’t care less about their crowning glories.  If I had a dollar for each person I see who does absolutely nothing about his or her hair, I would probably be a millionaire by now. :P

Your hair says a whole lot about you – it’s a huge part of your personality.  It’s what people see when they first lay their eyes on you; therefore it’s important to have a healthy, shiny head of hair.  When you have healthy hair, you’ll naturally feel confident.  Also, imagine the possibilities of exploring various hairstyles – whether you’re after those gorgeous boho braids or that tousled bedhead, you need a head full of hair!  If you’re currently facing signs of hair loss, Yun Nam Hair Care recommends that you pay them a visit.

With ten outlets in Singapore, Yun Nam Hair Care has certainly made its presence known in our sunny little island.  In addition to having a team of hair care experts armed with expertise on solving hair-related problems through the usage of customized natural herbal treatments and home care products, Yun Nam Hair Care has recently launched a site – I Want Gorgeous Hair, which offers information on keeping up with hairstyle trends and lifestyle habits that will affect hair health.

At a cursory glance, the site places an emphasis on various hair-related problems, such as hair loss, graying, and dandruff, to name a few.  You will definitely notice that all roads lead to their S$18.00 hair treatment package, valid for a limited period.

Check out the site, and hopefully be on your way to a fuller, thicker head of hair!

Product Review: Chanel No. 5 Eau de Parfum

Hi all! :) I hope your week’s going great. As I write this, I’m actually not feeling too good. I’ve been ill, and the doctor says it’s probably a case of food poisoning. I should get some rest, I know. I’ll do that as soon as I finish up this blog post. :)

I believe most of you would have read about how I found my signature scent at Chanel, and read my review of the Chanel No. 5 Bath Gel.

Today, I’m going to show you the Chanel No. 5 Eau de Parfum which I bought on the day of the olfactory journey.

The box is simply white, rimmed with black and gold and adorned with simple typeface, adhering to Mademoiselle Chanel’s “less is more” principle.

Sponsored Review: Benefit Cosmetics Instant Brow Pencil in Deep

Sponsored Review

Hi guys! :) I finally watched Harry Potter on Saturday – awesome max! I’m sorry, Headmaster Snape. Truly am. Mrs Weasley, you rock! Also, Neville Longbottom FTW. Let’s see how long it’ll take me to sink into post-Potter depression.

Anyways, as a token of appreciation for doing that gig for Benefit Cosmetics in April, I got to choose whatever I wanted from their inventory as long as it was within a certain limit.

I thought for a bit, and finally picked their Instant Brow Pencil in Deepand Benetint - just what I needed then! I’m kind of practical; I tend to pick what I need and not what I want. I want their cute palettes, but I need the simpler basics more.

Sometime last year, I bought the Instant Brow Pencil in Medium to Dark, which is actually a medium to dark brown shade, and which was the darkest shade they had available. Later on, they launched the Instant Brow Pencil in Deep. I believe Medium to Dark is now simply called Medium to avoid confusion, now that they have Deep.

Today, I’m going to review the Instant Brow Pencil in Deep which I received, and also put in comparison swatches for your reference.

Who doesn’t love a cheery box? :)

Winners of the Blog’s Anniversary Giveaway!

Hi guys! :)

So the blog’s anniversary giveaway has closed, and I’ve chosen the three winners. I just have to tell you how much I loved all of your entries, and I really appreciate the effort you’ve put in. Every single entry is creative and beautiful; needless to say, I had a hard time picking just three recipients. Everyone’s a winner to me, really, and you guys absolutely rock! :D

Here are the three winners, who have already been notified via email.

First up, Ratta! :) Her entry was written on her palm with liquid eyeliner, MAC pigments, and lip gloss – very apt for a beauty blog  giveaway! I love the colours, golden stars, everything – it’s beautiful! She mentioned that she wanted to perfect it, but due to unforeseen circumstances, had no time to redo her entry before the deadline. Ratta, you don’t have to redo anything – it’s absolutely perfect to me! :)

A Slice of My Weekend: Lunch at Cedele with Roseanne! :)

Since I started blogging, I’ve been asked many questions. The one question that keeps popping up is, “How’s the blogging experience been?”. Well, whilst it’s not a bed of roses, it’s still something I love doing. Over the past year, I’ve met so many like-minded individuals, I’ve expanded my social circle. Of course, I’ve also met some nasty people, but they don’t really matter.

Roseanne is one of the many lovely bloggers I got to know. Remember my Lush / Covergirl haul? Yup, she was the one who very kindly helped me with that, and I guess I’ll soon need to trouble her again so that I can get my hands on some NARS!

So she’s back in Singapore for a brief month, and we met up on Saturday for some brunch at Cedele, Ngee Ann City. It’s a really nice place, but I’ve only been there once prior to our meeting. Silly, I know, but I’m hardly the explorer when it comes to dining. I really need to go to The Marmalade Pantry soon!

Here I am with the lovely Roseanne. Yes, I do love that green plaid shirt! Plaid rocks. Plaidurday rocks. Pledge to wear plaid and you’ll rock, too. :P

Jade on 8flo Lifestyle: Toxic Friends and How to Deal with Them Tactfully

Happy Hump Day! :) Hope the week is treating you fabulously!

Recently, I wrote another article for 8flo Lifestyle. If you’re constantly feeling on edge, could it be due to – gaspthe company you keep?

We all have friends – good ones with whom we hang out all the time, bad ones (a.k.a. frenemies) who bother us to no end. How do you cope with the latter?

If your toxic friends are killing you, it’s time to dump them! Read this article to find out how to detox your social life with tact.

The said article is a combination of my perspective (From the Girl’s Heart on page 1), and from the point of view of a fellow writer (From the Boy’s Point of View on page 2), so it’s Girl versus Guy! :)

Go check out the article – I hope you’ll find it useful.

I don’t mean to sound like a nag, but if you still have not taken part in the blog’s anniversary giveaway, you have FOUR days to do so! :)

Toxic friends? Far from that! :) My sister and I at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Plaid is forever, and so are we!
