Last Christmas (okay, a month ago), I received a Benefit Cosmetics item from my work buddy – an Ultra Shines Lip Shine in Back to the Fuchsia!
A while ago, I reviewed Spiked Punch; back then, I added Back to the Fuchsia and Foxy Lady to my wish list. Well, now I do have them – remember, Renesmee gave me a Benefit Cosmetics kit and Foxy Lady is in it! Mad awesome.
Out of its pretty box, the glossy plastic tube is packed with glitter. Lots of it. It sparkles so brilliantly, I can’t help but smile when I look at it. It’s like a mini fuchsia disco tube!
I like the name Back to the Fuchsia – it’s funny, and I appreciate that the Benefit team thinks of unusual names all the time. They could have simply assigned a number to it (e.g. Lip Gloss #642) or called it something generic (e.g. #02 Fuchsia), but they didn’t. Because they’re Benefit. :)
The gloss comes with a brush applicator; a few years ago, they had the doe foot. Which do you prefer?

Out of the tube, Back to the Fuchsia is a sheer pink loaded with fuchsia glitter. If you love to have lots of micro glitter in your gloss, you will like this. :)
Like Spiked Punch, it is subtly fragranced; however, the scent becomes undetectable after a while.
On the lips, Back to the Fuchsia is so sheer, it adds just a bit of colour to the lips, which makes it easy to wear. True to its name, the gloss is ultra shiny. The fuchsia glitter shows up, too. I like that it’s not sticky, and it makes the lips feel moisturised.
I’m so pleased that Ultra Shines now retail at SGD27 each (was SGD31!) - you now get more Benefit for less! ;)

I just got Foxy Lady, haven’t tried it yet! I like brush applicators much more than doe foot applicators! I haven’t noticed a drop in Benefit’s pricing, is it worldwide?

I believe the pricing adjustment is only happening in Singapore (and Asia), because our prices are much higher than the US, so this is definitely good news for the wallet!

OMG! OMG! OMG! After reading your post, am so wanting to get all the colors now :) i was at the counter yesterday and fall in love with most of the shades.. ended up getting the Spiked Punch from it’s range.. :) i love how that coral shade feels & looks on my lips! thanks for sharing in your post the other swatches.. i’m sure many others will love it too.. so gonna get my 2nd one soon!
If you are into lipglosses like me.. do give chanel & burberry lipglosses a go too.. they are really pretty :)

Chanel has this range of new lip glosses, and i think i got one that has a slightly lighter share than spiked punch. You may wana try that color and i think u will love it. Meanwhile i am still contemplating my purchase of Burberry lip glosses.. as the colors are so pretty and you will be spoilt of choices :P

Babe! my itchy witchy fingers tested on the colour wild child yesterday.. it’s a purplish pinky colour which i think it will look great on people with fair skintones… tell me what you think :)

This one is so interesting! I really like its color and lovely glitter, especially when it was on your lip :)
I ‘m the one who love wearing lip makeup such as tinted lip balm or lip gloss because it ‘s very easy to apply when compare to other makeup…like eyeliner and eyeshadow. Also it is a good assistant in hurry to make you get brighter in a minute. My favorite gloss is absolutely a peachy color “Sexy Mother Pucker” plumgloss from Soap&Glory :) but I just got a new one “Mentholatum color gloss”, it comes with cherry red color, so pretty! I really like it at the moment because it smells sweet like watermelon :D
