Happy Hump Day, lovelies! I hope the week’s been treating you well. I’m planning to catch Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance this Saturday; would the weekend please hurry up!
A couple of weeks ago, a cheery coral box arrived at the office – yes, I justĀ hadĀ to emphasise the colour in case you do not already know that it is one of my current obsessions – a BellaBox, to be precise, the February edition. As it was too large to fit into my Mini Flap, I held it on the way home and it attracted several curious stares. ;D
Beauty junkies out there, if you have ever wanted to try out products from several different brands at one go (well of course you have!), and/or if you have become jaded along the way from forking out good money for products that didn’t work for you, BellaBox may just be the solution. :)
Within the pretty coral box, is another one – this time in a classy, subdued cream with the brand’s insignia printed on the lid.
So this is how BellaBox works – for a fee, BellaBox delivers five of the latest prestige, boutique and cult beauty products from around the world to your doorstep. You may choose to join monthly at SGD15 per month, or sign up for an annual membership at SGD165 for 12 months (you get 1 month free!). In addition to the box, you’ll also receive reward points. You can even gift a BellaBox to your loved one!
It being the month of love, the BellaBox team aptly named this edition Share the Love. All the things you love – new stuff, a fresh hydrated face, a refreshing scent…
Here we have the contents! I’m most curious about what’s wrapped within the pink tissue paper so I’m gonna open that first.
Bundled up are three items – sample-sized NVEY Eco Organic Eyeshadow in 150 Charcoal Blue, Duchess Marden Body Serum and Belif Hydra Sebum Control Essence. As these brands are new to me, I’m glad I got the chance to try them out!
I’m happy to know that NVEY Eco Organic eyeshadows are talc-free and formulated using soothing organic elements, such as chamomile and jojoba. They also contain antioxidants to help create a smooth formula suitable for dry or sensitive skin.
I’ve never tried a body serum; Duchess Marden’s Body Serum promises to hydrate, soften and stimulate cell growth for glowing skin – time to pay more attention to skin on the body!
Belif is a Korean brand that incorporates herbs and natural ingredients in their skin care range. The Hydra Sebum Control Essence sounds good – it works to help regulate sebum secretion while moisturising the skin.
Next, a full-sized product – Ansley Pure Pop Superstar Eyeshadow and Eyeliner. I think this is something many of you will adore – a pot of gel eyeliner sits underneath a pan of duo eyeshadow topped with a mirrored lid, complete with a brush. This lovely combo retails at SGD16.90 at BellaBox.
Finally, a sample of DKNY’s Pure Verbena and a complimentary card for redemption of more goodies. :)
Yup, so these are what I found in my BellaBox! Most of the products (in full size) can be purchased from BellaBox’s site.
Do I think the BellaBox is worth your monthly subscription fee of SGD15? Well, from what I received, definitely! The full-sized Ansley retails at SGD16.90, which already exceeds the subscription fee. On top of receiving a full-sized product, I also got several samples which I may love and decide to purchase in full size later on. Not bad a price to pay for some discovery. :)
It’s cool to receive a BellaBox of surprises every month, and what’s cooler is that your friend may end up receiving slightly different things in hers! I saw that some other BellaBoxes contained the Ansley Shimmer and Powder instead, so you really don’t know what you’re gonna get.
Will you subscribe to BellaBox, or have you already done so? Share your thoughts!

I love beauty boxes :) I’m subscribed to Luxe Box in Canada and I love the surprise!
Cool beans! :)
I am still thinking of which one to subscribed to… tough choice
Yeah! I’ve noticed there are several companies offering such services, and each of them has its merits.
hey, guess what? i subscribed to Bella Box already!
Awesome, Carol! Saw your blog post on it. :)
Jade, how’s the Belif Hydra Sebum Control Essence so far? Any good?
I would say so-so. I love how light it is, and how fast the skin absorbs it, but in terms of oil control there doesn’t seem to be a noticeable difference.
